Heeeeelllooo Everyone...

The blog seems to be dying... so I shall add a little more problems content for everyone.

----Quotation--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear all,

Below is the breakdown of duties:

Except 09S6C, the rest of the classes will also have to decide on the sourvenirs for the beneficiaries (about 6-7 for each class).
Design of the souvenirs MUST include the photograph of the beneficiary taken on that day.
CT reps,
upon deciding on what to give to the beneficiary, are supposed to get it approved by the teachers.
They can then proceed to purchase raw materials (coloured papers etc) before the event.
On the actual day,
Assign 2 students for each beneficiary.
Assign 2-3 students to move around with their beneficiaries and take pictures.
Assign 7-8 students to work on the sourvenirs and get it done before 11 am on the actual day.

May I request all CT reps to ask their class who can bring colored printers for the day itself. It should preferably be one with photo printing ability. Revert to me before school reopen so I can decide who to bring in the event that we have many offers :).

This is an email sent by our dearest Mr Ronnie Quek, in case you cant read, so we must all ooooooobeyyyyy him!!

For ice-breakers

IC: Me + Hongrun + Bowie

Objectives:
1) Break the ice between clients and students
2) Promote Youth Olympic Games to the students and the clients
3) Get 15 minutes of CIP, basically 1/4 a CIP hour

Activity 1
(1) Separate the clients into groups of 6, so there would be 11 groups of 6 clients.
2 students for each group, 4 students on stage

(2) Number the clients 1-6

(3) Students on stage would give out simple commands for example...
"All the no.6, stomp your left foot NOWWWW!!!!" or " All the no.3, clap your
hands once, but do not fall down.", etc... ( other examples vary from your
imagination)

(4) Clients would follow instructions, and the students in each group would help those who are having trouble following the instructions. Cerealsly help them as many of them would not be able to focus on the task at hand, and some of them might not understand/comprehend our language.

(5) Students on stage give time for clients to perform tasks.

Actions would most probably revolve only around these:
1) Clapping
2) Stomping
3) Turning around/spin
4) switching places
5) Placing hands/feet forward/backward
6) Shaking hands
7) lookin left, right, up, down, center
8) Stepping forward/backward
9) Holding Hands
10) ETC...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Activity 2
(1) Separate into groups of 6, 11 groups of 6 clients with 2 students assigned to each group.( Im sorry but im addicted to groups of 6)
(2) Students perform simple actions one step at a time while the other student help the clients who are unable to follow.
(3) After completing a series of about 10 simple actions, students on the stage would then lead the cliemts to perform the activity together.
Examples of series
-Clap, Stomp, Clap, Stomp, Clap, Clap, Stomp, Spin, Clap, Stomp
-left leg forward, right leg forward, clap,laft leg backwards, right leg backwards,clap
-etc
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Other info

(1) Groups stand in circles to encourage interaction between clients and students.
(2) Students assigned to each group must be extremely friendly and responsive. Do not be fearful of the clients just because they outnumber you 6-2.
(3) Smile like Chai Bin, ( picture reference with Abner)
(4) Have patience with the clients as they are sure to be slower than what you imagine them to be, if you lose your temper, its most likely everyone of the clients would lose temper at you too.
(5) Safety second, right after having fun.

Dance will be done by LZC, elizabeth, laiweng

Congratulations on making it to page 5, now comes the important part.

For some unknown reason, our class has been selected to take the ice-breakers + the dance, which gives us special priveleges and more work.

The benefits include being the only class to be able to go to school on founders day 25th March 09 in Fac shirt plus jeans, Not needing to create a souvenir for the clients, and having a whole different role in the faculty CIP.
Grouping for our class will be posted tmr.. Participation is compulsory, (dun blame me, blame OCBC)

At last this is the end, with our class having the most important role, I hope everyone would put in their best for the upcoming event, because if we are unable to do a good job, we will bring shame to 09S6C. Do not forget to finish all the holiday assignments we got from everyone and sign the green form.

Spread this message.

Other information will be posted tomorrow, so until then, dun die, Thx.
