Hey guys, this is a SERIOUS poll regarding GEMS! Because it seems that quite a number of people won't be able to make it if it's held on Monday, we're considering changing it to Tuesday instead. Please respond as to whether you'll be able to make it then.


Do remind other 09S6C members to vote as well, because it'll be considered a "Yes" if you don't vote. Also, vote responsibly (oh man, I sound like the PAP here) because we urgently need this to gauge the response for GEMS. And of course, don't vote if you're not from 09S6C. Thanks!



But how would you react when she starts blabbering away about: how we would all perish if Minister Mentor (touch wood) kicked the bucket, how the nation's reserves are somehow locked away by him and only his family and himself and President Nathan hold the "KEY" to the reserves, and why we should all migrate to Hong Kong, Laos or Cambodia in order to escape this "imminent catastrophe".

Obviously the group of us were sniggering away at her comments, poking at her ridiculous statements, which were by themselves close to acts of treason. We did what we thought of as smart: to take off our school badges in order to conveniently hide our identity in the unlikely event of her strolling over to us and giving us a lecture on why we should ditch Singapore as soon as we finish JC/UNI education.

The couple of secondary school students she prayed on cleverly and literally 'walked' their way out of the conversation with a curt, but highly laugh-inducing, "Bye Bye." Smart kids. But they were all packed and ready to leave, anyway, so it was easy for them.

As our LADY OF LIGHT [LOL] herself began to make a move, we prayed for her to leave us ALONE. But you never really get what you wish for. What transpired next was a figure of enlightenment raining her perfectly logical concepts upon us. :D

To put it bluntly, she made our MM and beloved Nathan sound like enemies of the state.

Haha basically, it's just come up with a powerpoint on the allocated theme. Our class's allocated theme is... er lemme flip thru all the shit pile of notes they gave me...
our theme is: History of the Olympic Movement.

On behalf of the class of 09S6C, I would like to comment on the effectiveness of the talk on stress management that took place last Friday.

On a poll conducted on our fellow classmates over the weekend (http://athena09s6c.blogspot.com/2009/08/friday-poll-1.html), it has come to our attention that knowing how to manage stress is not very applicable to us, due to us already possessing the ability to handle our workload, through feats of acrobatic prowess.

The poll creator hypothesized that what students need more of is actually time management, and has indicated that as a choice in the poll. However, this hypothesis was overturned by the unexpected result of the poll, that is, around 20 students from our class consider Shaun being a REAL MAN to be the most important.

Thus, I would like to suggest on the behalf of our class, that future CT sessions might touch upon the subject of Shaun being a REAL MAN and how we can benefit from it. This would aid us greatly in our quest for academic excellence.

It has been pointed out that there are plentiful advantages to Shaun being a REAL MAN, which is not limited to, increased concentration, higher alertness, improved athletic ability among everyone else present, curing cancer, walking on the moon, as well as having a personal pair of 3D glasses.

Again, I would like to, on behalf of the class, to urge you to consider teaching about Shaun being a REAL MAN as part of our wide ranged Affective Education Programme in our school. Thank you in advance.
